PS5 DualSense Controller — v3
The third generation: a single LLM-authored SVG taken through four render-and-critique passes until a vision model signed off on the silhouette, light bar, D-pad and face buttons.
Generation Record
- Creation date
- 2026-10-14 19:07 CEST
- Time used
- ~11 minutes (4 vision-QA iterations: generate → render → vision critique → patch)
- Model
- Qwen3.8-Flash-Next (Uncensored) — FP8 + IQ4R MoE (
.rad) - Inference engine
- radiance 1.5.0, native MTP speculative decoding, 200K context
- Render / QA
- resvg-js rasterization + local vision-model critique
- Hardware
- Linux AI server, 2× AMD Radeon AI PRO R9700 (gfx1201), ROCm 7.2.4
What's in the drawing
- Two-tone white shell and matte-black centre with the DualSense micro-dot texture (an SVG pattern, not a raster image)
- Blue light bar drawn as a continuous U-guide wrapping the touchpad, with a soft glow
- Connected faceted D-pad — the correct pivot-cross design of the real hardware
- Monochrome face-button glyphs (Triangle / Circle / Cross / Square), as engraved on the actual DualSense rather than PS1-era coloured caps
- Symmetric analog sticks with a textured rubber lip (dashed ring), concave dish and recessed well shading
- Create / Options with their actual icons, PS button, mic-mute bar with amber LED, 3.5 mm jack and USB-C port
- Integrated L1/L2 shoulder arcs, rim lighting, grip shading and a soft drop shadow
How it was made
- Authored entirely as SVG markup by the local LLM — gradients and SVG patterns only, with no embedded raster image.
- Each revision was rasterized with resvg-js, critiqued by a local vision model, then patched; defects such as silhouette overhangs, light-bar length, D-pad position and bumper seams were fixed and re-verified against fresh renders.
- Four QA iterations in total before the vision model reported a clean silhouette with no artifacts.
The file is pure hand-authored SVG (18 KB, XML-validated) and scales cleanly at any resolution — open it in any browser or vector editor. Earlier versions remain at /ai/ps5-controller.html (v1) and /ai/ps5-controller-20261014.html (v2).
